Skoda Kodiaq’s top distinction from the Euro NCAP international organization

Five stars confirming maximum safety for all passengers from Euro NCAP conquered the new skoda Kodiaq and became the seventh model of the Czech company to achieve the highest score.
Euro NCAP rated 92% protection for adults, while the model also excelled in the side impact test offering top protection. The same applies to collision protection at the rear of the car. 
The organization also noted the effectiveness of the standard Front Assist, which works equally well at low speeds; as in a typical city driving; and preventing almost all possible collisions at higher speeds, such as on a motorway.

 The new Kodiaq protects not only the occupants but also the pedestrians with a special bumper design that reduces the size of the contact with their knees, while being rated high enough to protect the pedestrian basin and head.
Complete standard safety equipment includes up to 9 airbags, such as driver and front passenger, front side, curtain type, driver’s knee and rear side. 

The three-point seat belts are combined with straps while the rear seats feature an ISOFIX child restraint system. In addition, safety features are supplemented with equipment, such as automatic alarm activation in case of panic braking or collision (in combination with automatic door unlocking and fuel sealing).

The “Front Assist” system in combination with the “City Emergency Brake” and the “Pedestrian Monitor” help to prevent pedestrian accidents. The four Area-View cameras show on the infotainment screen that the vehicle is in the surrounding area, while the Manoeuvre Assist and Rear Traffic Alert assist systems warn of hidden dangers in places with limited visibility.
